Amber Go Drive Academy Privacy Policy

Amber Go Drive Academy does not collect personal information through this website unless you choose to get in touch. If you send us a message, we use your details only to reply to you, and we never sell them or use them for marketing. This policy explains how that works and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Amber Go Drive Academy is owned and run by Tom Hutchinson, an RSA Approved Driving Instructor. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

  • Address: Government Offices, Circular Road, Ballypheasan, Roscommon Town, Co. Roscommon, F42 CH70

What we collect

You can browse this website without giving us any personal information. We only receive your details if you choose to contact us through the form, by phone or by email:

  • your name, phone number and email address

  • the service you are asking about and your message

Please don't include sensitive information, such as health details, in your message.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you choose, to arrange your lessons. Our lawful basis is that you asked us to get back to you. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.

Who sees it

Only Tom reads your messages. They pass through the services that run our website and email, Squarespace and Google (Gmail), which handle them on our behalf. Some of these providers may store data outside the European Economic Area, protected by safeguards approved under GDPR. We never sell or rent your information.

How long we keep it

We delete enquiry messages within 12 months of our last contact with you.

Cookies and other websites

Our website uses cookies, small files stored on your device. Essential cookies keep the site working and are always on. [Analytics cookies help us see which pages people visit; we only set them if you accept them in the cookie banner.] You can change your choice at any time, or block cookies in your browser settings.

Our website links to other sites, such as our Google reviews page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they use your information.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the information we hold about you.

  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.

  • Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.

  • Restrict how we use your information.

  • Object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests.

  • Move your information to another provider (data portability).

  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email Ambergodrive@gmail.com or call 085 118 3090. It is free, and we will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Keeping your information safe

We keep your information on password-protected devices and accounts, with two-step verification turned on where available. Only Tom has access to your messages. Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so information you send through the contact form is protected in transit.

Complaints and changes

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at www.dataprotection.ie.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
