Meet Tom
Tom is a fully qualified RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). When you book with Amber Go, he is the person in the passenger seat for every lesson.
Tom Hutchinson has spent over 30 years driving cars, vans and motorbikes, and just as long working on them as a mechanic. He started Amber Go Drive Academy to teach driving the way he believes it should be taught: with real understanding of the vehicle.
Why learners choose Amber Go Driving Academy
One instructor, every lesson. Tom knows where you left off and what comes next. He can guide you in areas you need the most support.
A mechanic’s knowledge. Learn how your car works, from the clutch to the brakes, and why it matters every time you drive.
Manual specialists. Pass in a manual and your licence covers automatics too.
RSA approved. Fully qualified and approved by the Road Safety Authority.
Real-world driving. You leave with the confidence to drive every day, and fully prepared for the routes you’ll meet on test day.
